OUTLAW

DJ Outlaw, born Mohammed AlMohri, is a DJ, music producer, sound engineer, and the founder and CEO of Outlaw Productions. Born and raised in the Kingdom of Bahrain, his career in music took flight in 1997 when he began DJ-ing. He later took it to the next level and started producing music in 2003 despite hip hop being a very novice genre in the region at the time that wasn’t taken seriously as a professional career option. 

 

Over the years, DJ Outlaw worked on developing and honing his sound, drawing inspiration from super producers such as Dr. Dre, Timbaland, and The Neptunes while finding ways to integrate his own cultural background sonically into the tracks he was producing. This led to the release of his debut studio album “History in the Making” in 2009, bringing together various local and International artists and beginning the journey to bridge the gap between the East and the West. It was also the first Bahraini hip hop album to be distributed in stores and digital platforms. 

 

From then on, Outlaw has built a reputation as an industry trailblazer, from being a major supporter of the regional hip hop scene over the years with his countless mixtape releases to completely reshaping the sound of commercial music in Bahrain and the region. His signature sound has been heard on countless hit records such as Samboosa, Laywagef, Ee Laa, Dose Dose, Shino Alkalam Hatha, Shoofha, Nayda, and more by Outlaw Productions’ artists Daffy, Flipperachi, and Lil Eazy. 

 

DJ Outlaw has also successfully worked with artists such as The Game, G-unit, MC Lyte, The Outlawz, Ace Hood, Freeway, Mad Skillz, and more and has shared the stage with the likes of DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Tony Touch, Junior Jack, Yves Larock, Fatman Scoop, DJ KOOL, Shortie Blitz, Just Blaze, Tabu of the Black Eyed Peas, and DMC of RUN DMC to name a few.
